These Oils take Lip Hydration to the Next Level

These Oils take Lip Hydration to the Next Level

At Manifest Beauty we were mindful of the problems associated with traditional lip plumpers when creating our iconic PLUMP POUT formula. One of the biggest complaints was dry lips caused by abrasive plumping agents used by other brands, which is why we infused PLUMP POUT with a plethora of hydrating natural oils. These are the oils that take hydration to the next level…

Avocado Oil Benefits

Avocado Oil contains replenishing omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidant Vitamins C and E, making it ideal for dry lips in need of natural nourishment. With its vitamin E content, avocado oil not only moisturizes the lips, but also removes dry, flaky skin. Avocado oil is fast absorbing meaning it can penetrate deeply and quickly - helping you reap the skincare benefits properly, as opposed to the oil just sitting on the skins surface. Avocado oil, which feels amazingly silky on the skin, contains multiple vitamins providing hydrating and anti-aging properties. Avocado oil has a great nutrient and antioxidant profile, which can neutralize damaging free radicals in the body and help alleviate oxidation stress on the skin. Avocado oil also helps stimulate the collagen production of your skin by penetrating the epidermis.

Jojoba Oil Benefits

Jojoba oil helps form a barrier that effectively locks moisture into the lips, boosting hydration.

Jojoba oil also protects the lips from harsh weather conditions, keeping them soft & supple.

This miracle oil contains many antioxidants and essential fatty acids which can help form a shield on the lips and soothe irritated skin with their anti-inflammatory properties. Jojoba oil is also rich in vitamin E, vitamin B-complex and zinc, which help soothe chapped and irritated lips.

Using jojoba oil to moisturize your lips also primes for flawless lipstick application. Jojoba oil absorbs quickly into your lips to soften and smooth without leaving a greasy film - the perfect base for lipstick. Jojoba Oil is also recommended for people with sensitive skin because of its gentle properties.

Rosehip Oil Benefits

Hydration & Anti-Aging

Rosehip oil contains both nourishing, hydrating and emollient properties - meaning it can be used as a natural softening agent for dry lips, keeping your pout full and reducing the appearance of wrinkles. The composition of fatty acids helps to reduce water loss in the skin by forming an occlusive barrier on the lips, boosting hydration. Rosehip oil is also high in vitamin A which helps exfoliate dry and dead skin cells, whilst its anti-inflammatory properties help soothe irritated lips.

UV Protection & Brightening

Rosehip oil contains exfoliating and brightening properties, helping brighten dull, discolored, and flaky lips. Rosehip oil also contains many antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds like vitamin E which help protect the lips from UV damage. This is because the vitamin A and beta-carotene present in the oil can increase cell turnover by shedding dead cells to reveal brighter and softer lips.

Collagen Production

Studies have shown that the vitamin A present in rosehip oil can neutralize an enzyme in the body responsible for breaking down collagen. This has the effect of boosting the plumpness and elasticity of the skin when applied to the lips; it also stimulates elastin production, which helps the skin seem firmer and replenishes its tightness.
